    Ok, I see your point. There are strengths to Class A however.

    Working on room two...

    Comfy chair close enough to rack, no remote needed!

    A lot of gear I got on my fave list- The LINN Majik DS Cyrrus 8 CD Player, nice TT , great Class A amp , what else you got in the rack ? A headphone amp (M1 HPA ?) no idea what the rest is.... For what do you use that black amp (?) on the floor? Phonostages ?

    Belated thanks all who extended kind words on my modest system above. And thanks to everyone else who posted pics. I like all systems from more modest to more expensive. They all have their place; the important thing is listening and enjoying.

    This kind of thread really brings out the community in online forums like this.

    It's good that I posted this, because now that I have bookshelves behind my head I think I may move to set up Quadraphonic (4.1 really) capability here in in the office. I can easily put speakers at ear level right behind my head, well spread out. I have a great deal of 5.1 and Quadraphonic material that I listen to mostly in my car. This will mean a complete re-arrangement of everything I have here and in my other systems as well!

    Well, that's very cool. Brings up a question for you two room / two system guys. Are you building separate collections for these rooms? Or shuffling vinyl back and forth?

    thanx Baron Von Talbot.

    the Accuphase is not Class A, only Class AB.
    the Headphone is Grado SR80, i use it directly with Accuphase.

    and i forget a DENON AU-320 MC STEP-UP TRANSFORMER, but the Hiraga II is really much better than the AU320.
    unfortunately is not mine :realmad::winkgrin:

    ...and in a few more years you'll have to move the comfy chair so you can get your scooter in there. :laugh:;)

    Keep mostly jazz and new releases in one room everything else in the other and shuffle.

    I'm always shuffling things around. Just keep adding more storage wherever it will fit.

    I'll have more photos of the room when it's finished... Still moving things and trying things. Not completely settled on what's staying where.

    I thought about that, but due to the nature of the day job can't be that segregated. Thanks to the dCS having two outputs and the rooms right next to each other, it was easy to run some longer IC's to room two and control it all from the iPad.

    Just got my Nakamichi 700II back from the shop. Cosmetically a 9.9 out of 10 and now it's been completely overhauled and recapped. Sounds as good as my Dragon if not better!
