That could be an album cover straight from the mid-80s.

I finally figured out some lighting. For one I finally fixed the light post on my biotracer that has been broken for years.

I also added a small Lumo led light by putting Velcro on it and stuck to wall. Removable for those on the spot lighting needs. Also found a cool led book light with a clamp. I knew I had it somewhere and finally found it. It can clamp or lay on its back and the light is moveable and can be angled. It's small and portable so perfect. Very bright too.

Here's my Pro Ject turntable with a LED strip lighting the acrylic platter with an Ikea clip light (not lit). I was going for the McIntosh look!

I use a the Ikea Harte Lamp on all my turntable setups. I love it! Cheap, elegant and gets out of the way. Plus USB powered.

I have one of these also, but I don't use it for the turntable. It's a real nice light. It's flexible, the light swivels, and you can power via USB or an outlet

El Cheapo goose neck halogen light bought for $20 about 20 years ago. Does the job and the neck is adjustable for any angle you want so I can even bend it down for stylus cleaning.

I've got this one - I like how you can change the colour of the light slightly. More blue or more yellow, depending on mood and music.

Yeah, gotta love a turntable that has a built-in light. That's all I need to get the record cued-up when the ambient light is not enough. :righton:

I replaced the old brass surgeon's lamp that I used for the turntable in New York (still have it, just not mounted) with a modern floor lamp that is adjustable physically and for brightness.

Neat that this thread came back as I just installed a new turntable light in my family room system this weekend. $20 from Target. It's way too bright and is not dimmable. It may not live here permanently.

There is a decent lamp, a little plastic-y, that i use in the record cleaning area that is nice- it allows not only brightness, but color temperature adjustment. Costs 29 bucks on Amazon. I can post a pic if you like not sure it comes in any color but white.
PS: Just checked, it comes in black too. You may want to check it out it is called:
"TaoTronics LED Desk Lamp Eye-caring Table Lamps, Dimmable Office Lamp with USB Charging Port, Touch Control, 5 Color Modes, White, 12W"

here's mine in situ: [IMG]IMG_0465 by bill hart, on Flickr
