The coda in When The World Was Woken by Barclay James Harvest is like a release of the tension that is swirling through the previous five minutes. The track seems to be off Youtube at the moment.

TMZ were just harassing John Stamos because the Beach Boys don't play this song live.

Uhhhh...... kind of a random, 45-years-too-late gripe, isn't it? :p

  5. My #3.:

    Rush - Xanadu

It's rather long but, Lifeson's outro solo is one of his best.

this one is real fun and the band have to be really tight in order to do this. it must be difficult for anyone covering this song.
not sure when i comes in but it must go for a minute or more.

    Many great choices here.
I think these have not been chosen yet:

    Hey Jude
Pride (In The Name Of Love)
God Save The Queen --- Sex Pistols

The outro (or final countermelody) of John Cale's "Paris 1919" became "Born In The USA".
It was already there in the released lp version but it's the piano version on the Rhino expanded reissue that made me realize.

    starts at 3:14

I'm all about the melancholy sounds tonight, therefore:
    "I Don't Know Where I Stand" - Fairport Convention
"Section 43" - Country Joe & The Fish

On the other hand, nothing beats the outro to "Street Fighting Man" in my book. With that perfectly placed drone of the shenhai, Brian's slashing sitar, Bill's thick bass, and Nicky's piano fills, it's probably my favorite ever.

Love this one, and the live version Pulse is also goosebump inducing!

I'll add Bee Gees "Edge of the Universe (album version)", Clapton "Let It Grow", Depeche Mode "Personal Jesus (album version)", and New Order "Dream Attack".

One that never fails to give me goosebumps is the outro of "The Lamia", by Genesis.

All three are the original album versions and boarder on being "orgasmic" in their presentation:
"Whipping Post" - The Allman Brothers Band
"Won't Get Fooled Again" - The Who
"Time Has Come Today" - The Chambers Brothers.
