Are your speakers in gloss black or piano black?

    Hi :)

B&W says the finish is "Gloss black"
    http://www.bowers-wilkins.com/Speakers/Home_Audio/CM_Series/CM9.html
Some call it piano black, but to me the finish on the CM9's is not perfect like a mirror. To me a "piano finish" ia a perfect surface and mirror-like reflection.
But, I think they look really nice, even my wife says so...

I have to post simply so I can continue to see these cool pics as they are posted. If I thought I had one ounce of a creative eye and my little point and shoot has two ounces of capability to produce a picture like any of these I would give it a go. Who knows maybe I will try anyways. Thanks to all those who have posted pictures.

Hi Rolf, love all your new pics as well :righton:

I thought you and other Bowers & Wilkins owners might like to see where you profit $$'s were being spent, the B&W Indy racer from Sundays Indy 500 race, not my photo, just shareing :)

What's wrong with B&W being the partial sponsor of an Indy Car?

that car was the fastest qualifier at Indy this year...

I am very much in favor of B&W as a sponsor...

Absolutely nothing wrong with that, I was being tounge and cheek, forgot the  smiley.

I was excited that it won the pole, gives B&W the exposure and airtime they paid for :righton:

Nice pictures RoDa. I also have a Cherry P5 with the Groovetracer subplatter.
Have you formed any conclusions on different mats yet? I'm thinking about trying the Herbie's or others.

    Thanks Shaws

    No conclusion yet...
I feel that the Herbie's is sounding too "dull".
The Achromat is more of what i like, but not beeing able to change sides without stopping the player is a "turnoff" :)

Actually, the sound of the Rega with Groovetracer Subplatter & counterweight + TT-PSU and the original platter and feltmat is GOOD :righton:

Audiophile and pleased with the sound of my system, it's a nightmare! :D
