My earliest memory of a record player was a "bakelite" Admiral which, supposedly portable, weighed about 50 lbs!

My Mother used to play Margie Rayburn's "I'm Available" for me - loved that one! She still teases me about singing the "doo-eee-doo's" :(

I probably spent more time on the lighting of this pic than I did working on the needledrop.

Im jealous of these folks that have photos of 45's that look as fresh as the day they were purchased. The only 45's I own look like they were tossed around and played to death!

Welcome! Are you related to Bobby?

How do you like the OL table? What arm are you using? Beautiful setup, and nice pics.

Thank you for the kind comments.
The arm is the Origin Live Silver with VTA adjustability that is critical for the Blackbird The table has outstanding definition and prat. It requires no additional isolation platform, in fact the two I experimented with actually removed some of the livelyness of the table that makes it special to me. Previous tables included a VPI Scout, Rega 5, and the Optonica RP3636. This table presents music with a better soundstage, increased detail retreval, and openess. I have used the Balckbird on all these tables. System includes a VAC Standard LE w/MM, VAC PA100/100, Aurum Cantus Leisure 3SE, Lector CDP, Zu Cable.
