Great song. But the album it comes from - the fantastic Life on Planet Eartsnop - was originally released in 1998. However, Myracle Brah continued to release great music post-2000. By the end of the 00's Andy Bopp had retired Myrcle Brah and moved on from power pop. I haven't heard any of this newer material but I'm sure it's interesting.

Another vote for Cirrone! Their first album from 2011 is one of the best albums Badfinger never released! I'm waiting impatiently for a second album by these guys. They do have a Christmas single from a couple of years ago.

I would also check out everything by Michael Carpenter by himself or with the Cuban Heels.

You can hear it all on Bandcamp.com I like that site because you can hear complete songs and download CD quality flac.

And my favorite power pop band, Pezband has a new record that came out this year, "Dangerous People". It's comprised of songs cut in the 80s, but mixed this year. Check it out on CDBaby.

Because the general public is not interested in power pop. It's a very niche genre.

My copy says 2001, contains four bonus tracks and was issued by the British label Rainbow Quartz. I believe both your copy and mine are reissues (or possibly a first time UK issue in my case). Nonetheless his the Myracle Brah discography indicates it was originally issued in 1998, the same year the songs were copyrighted. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myracle_Brah
Thanks for the heads-up. I'll have to check that out.

If that was all that Viola did then you would have a great point, but his scope is pretty broad when it comes to great tunes, power pop being just one of them.
