Agreed as to the central point of the article. And especially the last point. It's so true: Taylor Swift's songwriting is so much like Joni's. It's amazing that they actually pay these hacks for such lazy, paint by numbers writing.

A Canadian myself, I am proud of her (and everybody else's) Canadian origin.

Neil Young is, first and foremost, Canadian. He has never shied away from that in his interviews or his music.

As far as I know, Joni has never shied away from that fact either. The fact she took citizenship to be able to vote in the US does not stop her from being Canadian. And unless she's give some interview denouncing her roots that I'm unaware of, she is Canadian.

Continued vibes to her. She is one of the best this country has produced.

 

Hope so, but her smoking habit is a real problem.
