Pre-amp power supply?

I'm curious as to the purpose of the 3 outlets on the back of my preamp.

What is the purpose of these? They seem to be standard "outlets" - is it just convenience to offer more outlets or is it to provide a more consistent power source for, say, a turntable? Would there be any harm plugging a turntable into the preamp?
