It might help if they actually gave the original Predator film a proper release on blu-ray. The original blu-ray was an MPEG-2 compressed artifact mess; the Ultimate Hunter Edition almost got everything right until they used so much DNR there's no grain. My favorite review described the movie as now looking like a Playstation 2 game.

I guess we've already had semi-sequels in the form of Alien vs. Predator and the like, haven't we?

 

What about the 3D version ?

 

It is actually a sequel as well. Apparently it either falls between 2 and 3 or takes place right after 3.

Rambo (2008) was the best film of the series in my opinion so I'm psyched to see a new one.

 

Dunno about Arnie, but Sly would deliver Rocky style.

 

I don't do 3D in the home, it's not for me, so I can't give you an impression. The review at blu-ray.com states "..it looks to me that this is simply the Ultimate Hunter Edition, slightly opened up to a 1.78:1 aspect ratio (encoded via AVC for its 2D edition and MVC for its 3D edition). All of the issues Casey mentioned in his review* are still more than noticeable."
