Here's a montage of the "Whammies" from the game show Press Your Luck.

I used to love watching this show (well, re-runs of it on USA Network, anyway). :) Is it running on GSN by chance?

Oh, and this thread has Beatles content (of course!)- one of the Whammies is a Beatles parody. :)

It's on Buzzr, but right now, they've only shown September 1983 to September 1984. It had three full years from 1983 to 1986.

Buzzr does livestream their programming on Twitch.tv: Twitch

No commercials! At least not during the shows.

Credit to Savage Steve Holland, of Better Off Dead and One Crazy Summer fame. If you've seen those films, or his later work on Eek! The Cat, you'll notice the stylistic similarities.

By the way, Amazon Prime Video now has Press Your Luck episodes too.

They're rebooting this show this week, aren't they?

I remember, on the Game Show Network, they had a doc on the guy who 'beat' the "Press Your Luck" rotation...
that was over ten years ago...

Yeah. The guy didn't actually cheat or do anything underhanded- he just studied the patterns of the game board really, really well.
