What is alternate version of Cry to Me? 1965 publishing demo?

 

It's the stereo version, and I think it sounds amazing...
I have the 2003 Snapper Classics version, but I haven't compared them directly - I just seemed to pick up on things I hadn't noticed previously... and I've been listening to SF Sorrow for about 40 years now (love this album).
It could just be my imagination of course.

Wow what an amazingly designed package. Gorgeous book and box. Reall cool. One of the best sets I've seen.

I was really into this band from the late 60s to the mid 7os.

Will listen this weekend.

Thanks for your review of some of the new stuff on this set, especially the Parachute era demos. I am always suspicious of unreleased demos in general as being nothing more than early, unfinished works-in-progress that are inferior to the official release and it sounds from your comments like these demos are no exception. Is there any other previously unreleased material on these discs that is killer and worth the purchase of the box? That short version of Defecting Grey sounds interesting, as do some of alternate Emotions lp tracks.

Once again the compilers here only give you one mix of 'Talkin About The Good Times'. I wish both mixes of arguably the Pretties best ever track were included here for completeness. Also wish more BBC tracks were included especially that lost '69 BBC session where they do Alexander and Marilyn but maybe those will be on the next box set

 

Or the BBC set due out next month though I cant remember seeing a track list for that. it was an instant pre order for me when I saw it 3 discs of Prettys been a good year so far

Can anyone who's picked up the set tell me if the DVD of SF Sorrow live is a straight reissue of the earlier release?
Pretty sure that was lossy Dolby Digital only and wondered if it had got an upgrade for the box.

 

I finally pulled the trigger on one from Amazon UK.
