I've been a huge fan of the Screamadelica album since it was released. I bought Exterminator and Evil Heat upon their release but didn't really get into them as I did with Screamadelica. Lately though I've been listening to More Light more often. I really like Sonic Flower groove as well, to think that I got to hear that album late in the game. My top 3 as of now is:

    1. Screamadelica
    2. Sonic Flower Groove
    3. More Light

Exterminator is probably my #4. What are your three essential Primal Scream albums?

    3. Vanishing Point

Also, not really a studio album, but the Live In Japan CD released in 2003 is awesome, might actually be my favorite release of theirs.

I actually prefer "Vanishing Point" to "Screamadelica". What a great album. Add "XTRMNTR" and there's my top 3.

XTRMNTR if you don't want to count Echo Dek as the third.

XTRMNTR tour was cool as I got to see them with Mani from the Stone Roses and with Kevin Shields.

For me, More Light has emerged as their sprawling masterpiece. It captures the dark, conflicted spirit of the times while still reaching for the light. It really takes you on a journey and everything comes full circle by the end with a knowing nod to their Screamadelica days.

the live album is my fave. The vinyl edition that was released last year sounds realy, realy good.

Vanishing Point is the studio album that gets most plays in my house, with Screamadelica as a close second. My wife makes me turn off xtrmntr ;)

and dammit, I don't care if everyone else despises it, I like Give Out But Don't Give Up. Sure, it's faux Stones, but it's got George Clinton, Benmont Tench and Jim Dickinson on it, so at least it's good faux Stones.

Forgot about Give Out etc. I like it, too.

If anyone is on the fence about the MOV vinyl reissues, btw, buy with confidence. They sound great!
