By the way, when I put my copy in EAC, it reads: Lovesexy [US Tracked Promo] - but isn't marked promo anywhere on the CD or artwork.

Mine fades from the first track into the second. :(

And my peak levels are different than the regular tracked version.

EAC times slightly differ, looks like the indexing is off a little.
Peaks from the OAS Box, I would think they should match yours George unless the splits affect it.

My US copy is the same. I never knew about tracked vs. not for this album and lucked out getting a used copy of a tracked version on Half.com

Funny, I think Lovesexy is his best album, his masterpiece.

Lovesexy is the 1, til my day is done!

at least it was for several years. since a few years I keep changing between 1999, Lovesexy, PR & SOTT.

Interestingly, it was banded. He could have approximated the CD format by leaving the vinyl unbanded across each side, but the only thing that distinguishes Lovesexy from other Paisley Park albums on vinyl is that track lengths are not listed.

No idea. As far as I know there is only one tracked version with fades on some of the songs (if needed).
According to this, CDs Pressed by Specialty: SRC code? , the SRC version is in a continuous sequence.

This is my version: Prince - Lovesexy

Tracked edition with sticker: "DJ's: See Label For Indexing". Issued to radio stations to promote the Lovesexy album

Thanks. It is labeled that way in the booklet of my copy as well. And mine has the same matrix, 92570-2 SRC - 02

Other than the sticker (which I assume was on the cellophane), that looks like my copy as well. And if so, it looks like this disc is a particularly rare one!

I don't think all of them do. Like the album but honestly not my favorite of his, so for me the separation of tracks isn't an issue. But I understand how folks might want the fully blended original.

Not everyone shared his love ...

The cover was censored in some countries:

I have a Japan mini-LP that is tracked, but it's not the best sounding version I've heard.
