The first recording to come out of Paisley Park since Prince's death. It's an album of John L. Nelson's music, Prince's father. It has an old skool jazz flair, but it also rips it up. The sound quality is amazing. No involvement from Prince, but as we can hear, it was no accident that Prince became who he was. You can listen to the whole thing: Don't Play With Love - The John L. Nelson Project, by John L. Nelson
Wax Poetics has just released a new issue dedicated to the Prince universe. Wax Poetics Issue 67 - Wax Poetics
The Paisley Park page on Facebook posted this, don't know if it holds any significance (one can hope): https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1584072451707165 There is also a rumour that there will be a RSD release that has something to do with 1999.
Sadly, it´s only the single record version, briefly released back in the day, and with the blasphemous omission of DMSR
Ok, I didn’t know it was confirmed. That kind of makes sense as a RSD thing, that’s the kind of ploy releases they do, and the regular 2-LP reissue is still available. Anyway, I guess the most significant thing about it is that it points towards 1999 being the next candidate for the Deluxe treatment.
New information concerning Prince's passing and that they are looking to charge somebody(s) for his death. https://www.google.com/amp/s/wtop.c...ver-prince-investigative-files-to-family/amp/ No new music news, though. It's difficult to believe it's been almost two years.

Some interesting news among the buried news regarding Prince's upcoming memoir. Strictly Business: ICM Partners’ Esther Newberg on Dealmaking in Publishing and Prince’s Upcoming Memoir
Some news on releases and march, etc from the estate. https://blog.thecurrent.org/2018/04/listen-to-princes-original-recording-of-nothing-compares-2-u/ New official video for "Nothing Compares to U" which will be released as a single
Great great video! What the hell is up with this annotated online discography site though! Where did they find the web designer? Prince Discography Annotated
Awesome, but Jesus I'd wish they'd pick up the pace with these archival releases rather than piece them out like this.
It is being reported that Prince thought he was taking vicodin when it was in fact fentanyl: Minnesota prosecutor won't file charges in Prince's death
I just don't think Prince (who seems like he was the kind of person who was very particular about a lot of things) would make a mistake like that.
Its good to know they have an archivist on the case though. There is going to be so much stuff though, I would assume they only way would be to do something like the Neil Young online service, although hopefully navigation is not supplied by the same web designer as the site above!!
They aren't picking up the pace because there's a finite amount of material in the vaults and Prince is not going to be coming back to record any new material so they want to make it last as long as possible.
