Recently acquired a Manfred Mann WLP It even had a custom radio station sticker from the city I bought it in
Well, what have we here...a sealed copy of Sparks "A Woofer In Tweeter's Clothing" which purports to be a white label promo! But is it? Discogs supports this, as the listing says there's no promo sticker but there is a promo insert, which this one has: Only one way to find out for sure. Let's open this puppy up: Yes! This record has been undisturbed for 45 years. I was only a little bit sad to open it.
What's the fun in having a WLP if you can't see it? I'm one of those who generally doesn't like to leave records sealed.
Picked this up for the princely sum of $10 today. The record has it's fair share of marks and it looks like someone took a bath with the cover. Put the thing on and it smokes the clean US original and near mint '78 reissues that I have. Super stoked.
I found this WLP today. I saw Molly Hatchet during their tour for Beatin' The Odds. They were the headline act of a triple bill that also featured The Johnny Van Zant Band and Michael Schenker Group.
