We already went through this a couple of years ago. They attached this tax (levy) on all blank cassettes and CD-R's. Currently, it costs $4.99 to buy a TDK SA-90 cassette tape. So now it will be $5.59 each?? Just curious, what does this item cost in the US?

I'd have no problem if I knew the money was going to Canadian artists to help them make or promote their music. But the funds will just end up with the government who will use it (like all other tax dollars) to either lose, "misplace" waste, fund more immigration, or more likely, keep it for themselves in the form of a pay raise.

    Beagle,

You forgot to mention at the expense of every middle class working person in order to make the corporations and the government a lot more wealthy while taking all the wealth out of the average persons lives for the present/future dictatorship.
