    I own the original DGG vinyl of this. It is very excellent. Much less distantly miked than normal for the label. One of the best sounding DGG Classical albums. Let me know how the BR-A is. I am curious.

    Preordered this. Really excited to see how it comes out.

    I'm guessing this is another nail in the coffin for Pentatone's quad remasters, since Universal is probably going to be less willing to license out their quad tapes to a third party company if they're doing these releases in house. And Pentatone's last few quad transfers were kind of lackadaisical - transferred at a very low level, presumably so they could do it quickly without creating overloads.

    Maybe this sort of thing could help Dutton-Vocalion get a quick number of check-marks off their own bucket list...they've proven themselves to be a class act.
