Well, I thought for sure I'd heard Once Upon A Time in Hollywood would be QT's last film, but apparently he has one more in the works. In an article about the Bounty Law series that QT apparently has pledged to direct after writing out 5 episodes (Leo's character Rick starred in the made-up show in OUATIH), QT also discussed what his tenth and actual final movie might consist of: Spoiler "In the same interview, he also chewed on his tenth and final feature, suggesting it might have some spiritual ties to his feature film debut. “There is an umbilical cord from the tenth film to Reservoir Dogs, all the way to the end,” he said, adding, “I think that’s kind of cool.” Could he be taking another bite outta crime? In our own interview with the filmmaker, Tarantino likened his tenth movie to an “epilogue” or “an author’s note,” stating, “I might come up with a really big idea. But right now, the idea of a smaller audience almost all the way around is appealing to me.” Perhaps he’s since come up with something epic? Or, maybe this umbilical cord connects to something small?" Quentin Tarantino plans to write and direct all five episodes of Bounty Law TV series This is particularly exciting to me, as Spoiler Reservoir Dogs is my favorite film of his. What say you?
I'd be game for more Kill Bill as well, lol. I think this idea that QT is only going to make 10 movies is BS, honestly.
Honestly, I would find it rather satisfying if he melded whatever idea he had in what I linked to a Kill Bill 3, just make one big "hangout movie" with a bunch of his characters from former movies (at least the ones that survived?) with some kind of overarching plot. But I know that wouldn't satisfy someone wanting to see a Kill Bill 3.
I even had an idea that Tim Roth's character Ringo in Pulp Fiction was another undercover case he was working as he would be the same character from Reservoir Dogs (which I guess would mean that RD took place after PF). If QT wanted to go down the road of tying a bunch of his movies together, I would be all about it. What he could do with Samuel Jackson alone..
What are all the projects ideas he's toyed with and hasn’t materialized yet? Kill Bill 3 Vega brothers Star Trek TV bounty law Contemplated James Bond Post WW 2 film... Guy trying to fit into society after being in the war. Think he would like to be involved with MCU.
I’d still really like to see a Vega Brothers movie, though it seems less likely as time goes on and how much Travolta and Madsen have aged (unless QT wants to do some de-aging effects on them like those Scorcese used in Irishman that people liked so much ).
I think all of his movies are already tied together. Some in ways that are larger than others. But he's been actively doing it since the beginning. That is... each one of his movies is tied to at least one other of his movies.
I really was sworn to secrecy but it's a project about Joan of Arc. Like OUATIH and Inglourious Basterds it plays fast and loose with the historical facts. Joan leaps out of the fire and beats the Burgundians and English to death with flaming wedges of the stake. Please keep this to yourselves...
A western or an epic would be great! Django was an eastern and H8 was a stage play so that doesn't count in my book. And if anyone can bring back Jack Nicolson for a last roll it's probably Tarantino and Scorsese.
Quentin is a tireless self-promoter and has more than a little William Castle in him and loves to tease things that never come to pass. I've come to just take what he says with a grain and what will be will be.
Can't say I have any interest in a Kill Bill 3. I really only liked the first part anyway, the second wasn't as good. What more is there to possibly do?
