Question about The Departed on Blu-Ray or HD

I just rented the DVD. I played it in my computer and compared it to a 1080p Quicktime trailer I downloaded from Apple's website.

The resolution was obviously better on the 1080p trailer. It's very obvious when you look at the hairs on Jack Nicholson's beard.

But I want to ask about the color. The 1080p trailer has really vivid colors but it looks like a different hue. Has anyone compared the 1080p trailer to either the Blu-Ray or HD-DVD? I want to know if the 1080p trailer is a good indicator of what the colors are like on either HD format.
