I'm used to the b-sides not being included on these sets, but it's kind of a bummer that they included "Photograph" on the Blu-Ray but couldn't be bothered to include it on CD.
No interest in vinyl on my part.Would have to pay about $120 Australian to get a disc of demos and a relatively short live show. This set is 4 times the price of the Songs From The Wood box for less content and an inferior accompanying book.
Yep, the final quarter is absolutely majestic. I suppose if they released only EP of those 3 songs, it will also ( like whole AftP) stand in the same line with world heritage masterpieces like Dostoevsky's Idiot or Fellini's 8 1/2.
Bull Moose has it for $70, but yeah. Since I have the rest of the mostly underwhelming series (Out of Time deluxe, not super), I feel compelled at least to buy the 2CD set.
There is one more thing. Unlike other bands, the albums basically tell the whole story. Of course, once in a while there is something like The Great Beyond and Fretless, but you are not missing much, if you have never listened to anything outside the core catalogue.
Which is a bit strange, because with Out Of Time it was the other way around - and I would have preferred to get the concert in the 2 CD edition.
Like Green, & OOT I'll be giving this a miss, my pressings of them sound great, it will be onwards from this I'll be waiting for the reissues. Monster and especially AIH, love that album and having it on vinyl will be so satisfying, I'll probably drop out after Up, for me another underrated offering from R.E.M. The next 2 never thrilled me and the completionist in me left the building long ago, I have both Accelerate and Collapse Into Now already.
Finally, the R.E.M. blanket you've always wanted! (I'll wait until someone posts waveforms. Their history of blanket releases is dubious.)
I was so excited for this, but I don't like when they alter the original cover. Didn't care for it on Cyndi Lauper's She's So Unusual or U2's The Joshua Tree either.
Bullmoose lists a "bonus DVD". Anyone have an idea what this might be in terms of content... or erroneous listing? R.E.M. Automatic For The People 3CD + Blu-ray Incl. Bonus Dvd
Would live to know about this bonus DVD as well. BTW, Happy 25th to this classic. Discovered R.E.M. because of "Man On The Moon" and then found this album, which I still play today.
