This is terrible. Just yesterday a friend and I were watching a P-Funk performance from the late '90's and marveling ant Belita's unique voice. I said to my friend that I heard she was ill a few months back. More than I realized. R.I.P. Belita Woods, you tore it up with your voice and soul.

Very sad news. Was not aware that she was ill.

Enjoyed her contributions to the P-Funk All-Stars many times in concert, and had the opportunity to meet her and talk with her briefly several years ago. She was a very sweet woman. Rest in peace, Belita.
