On Tuesday, I bought the two new remastered Ramones Cd's - Pleasant Dreams and Too Tough to Die. I compared to the older ones I already own. I have a Warner Japanese press of Pleasant Dreams which I purchased in 1991 or 1992 and the French press of Too Tough to Die on the Closer label (gold colored disc that I bought in about '89). I didn't find either remaster to be leaps and bounds better than the versions I already had. They new remasters were louder, but not necessarily clearer. When I was comparing them, I don't think either one has the sound of the drums correct. I'll be the first to say that these are not audiophile dream Cd's, but these were albums I always liked. Sure they have a lot of bonus tracks, but my Howling at the Moon 12" b-side of Smash You sounds better than this new CD. Has anyone else bought these? Am I missing something? I am thinking I'll need to search these out on vinyl. Has anyone picked up End of the Century or Subterannean Jungle?
    Thanks,
    Aaron
