Had a lot of picture sleeved 45's, but sold most of them about 10 years ago.

The one I really wish I still had was "Tush" by Z.Z. Top, it had pencil drawing artwork. Anybody remember this one?

    It was the COOLEST!

It just figures that the three I need and the Four By EP are the rarest. I guess that's why I don't have them.... YET.

Here's one example of my great "colorization" technique...

    Paul,

Those are actually pretty cool colorized sleeves! You must be "buds" with Ted Turner...Ha-Ha!

Here's a cool one that I'm sure some haven't seen. The "stupid" pack-rat in me bought TWO when they came out. They are both sealed in shrink wrap (rare for a 45). It was rarer before Pink Floyd "finally" released When The Tigers Broke Free to the masses.

...and here's one that must have come from someone who "loved" this Beach Boys song a lot, judging by the condition of this sleeve I acquired not long ago.

    Nice one Tom!

You're both in the neighborhood; I bought a near mint "Mother" sleeve in Austin two years ago for $125. I was glad to find it too, you hardly ever see these!

Rolling Stones "Before They Make Me Run" promo only single.

I bought this for the beautiful Annie Leibovitz photo, I think I paid $25 at one of the early Chicago Beatlefests, would have been 1978 or '79.

I was shocked when I heard the record; a very different remix!

Here's an odd one. I got this from a Columbia rep in 1981, the front side is rubber stamped "Demonstration Not for Sale." This single was available for retail, but I don't think many made it out with the picture sleeve. This is the B-side to "Heart of Mine."

  14. The Beatles On Apple

I grew up in Winnipeg, MB., and I never saw very many pics sleeves if any at Eatons, The Bay, Woolworth's, etc. What we tended to get were generic sleeves matching the record label of the artist, or in the case of The Beatles, a custom "The Beatles on Apple" sleeve.

If I recall correctly, I had to cut the corner off the inner sleeve of the Squeezing Out Sparks album and mail it to Arista and they sent me this 45 (actually 33 1/3).

Nick Lowe's infamous "Bowi" EP, in response to David Bowie releasing "Low".

Didn't The Rumour also do that with the LP "Mac"? And somewhere on the LP sleeve is a tiny picture of a Cadillac Fleetwood. Very clever indeed.

  24. George Shearing Quintet

Dave, I do have another Stiff 45 on yellow vinyl. I think it's Jona Lewie or Wreckless Eric.

Latin Escapde EP Part Two. On the green/silver Capitol label. EAP 2-737.
