George sounds like he was his old crabby self, but it does sound like an interesting tape. I had no idea he would do impromptu Lennon songs...

 

Thanks for posting, these sound fascinating. It is so frustrating that Scorsese did not use them in the documentary.

I wonder what new song George was playing?

I am also intrigued about the Lennon tape. Hopefully there are more songs that we don't know about and have never heard.

Can anyone verify this information? Something like this happening sounds fairly unlikely to me. If you were to sell of a walkman as a rare collectible (which I can understand), wouldn't you always check to see if anything was inside the unit? Especially if the owner was a very famous musician who often made home demos!

 

I agree. Even a child would know how to open a Walkman; does anyone really think Yoko or her people would miss this?

What's great is that George knows Paul's signature. Not perfect but that's the general feel for sure. Maybe it's muscle memory from signing all that stuff during the Freda Kelly days.
