What Nilsson albums have never been issued on CD in the US, other than Flash Harry? (I guess Skidoo hasn't been reissued in the US, but that barely qualifies as a true Nilsson album).

Local Detroit Band from the 80's - The Almighty Strut.

Not sure a full LP ever came out. Maybe only a few singles.

Great band - very much like Rat. If fact, I recently found a rare CD called Digital Detroit from 1988 that has a Strut song on it - Jamie's Eyes.

One that I would love to see on CD is "Syreeta" from 1980 by Syreeta Wright.

There is also a rare extended remix version of "Love Fire" that runs over a minute longer than the version on this LP on a rare Motown promo that also featured a rare piano mix of Syreeta & Billy Preston's "With You I'm Born Again."

Cowboys International self titled debut - anyone else know this great record? Sort of a cross between Bowie and some cool Post Punk bands (Joy Division, Magazine, Wire)

There is a CD entitled "Revisited" that has many of the tracks from this LP but the sound is so absolutely horrible (loud & compressed).

I suspect that Revisited CD is all you're gonna get, as these guys never sold much anywhere (and were a complete flop in the US). At least Revisited includes the non-LP track "Today", which is my favorite CI moment.

It's very odd that they've re-sequenced the entire album for CD issue, though...

    Hey! All right!! :goodie:

The David Werner albums were the first ones I thought of when I read this (along with Shaun Cassidy's "Wasp", but I like these LP's a LOT better than that one). Both of these RCA LP's, "Whizz Kid" (1974) and "Imagination Quota" (1975), are well-worth checking out, pretty good mid-70s Bowie/Mott glitter-influenced rock.

I've been currently using the "Whizz Kid" album as my avatar, so it's obvious I enjoy it a lot. Definitely worth checking out...

Some of the Larry Coryell jazz LPs have never seen the light of day on CD.

The Pop Art catalog. Their final (and least best) album was issued on CD originally, and there's a decent best-of. But the first two albums deserve to be on CD in their entirety. Probably the best jangle pop band in Southern California in the mid '80s, and almost no one's heard of them...I saw them in San Diego in 1986, not having heard any of their music at the time, and they were jaw droppingly good.

SKIDOO is/was available on CD in Japan as part of the mini-LP sleeve reissues they did a couple of years ago. I've got it. Strange collection ...

However, one wonders whether they would sound as good on CD as they do on vinyl...

11 great songs from "Virgin Fugs" and "Fugs 4 Rounders Score." Throw in the Broadside version of "Swinburne Stomp," plus a couple deleted/supressed solo Fugs/Rounders contributions to other ESP CDs, and you got yourself a much desired compilation. Yo, Ed Sanders! Wake up!

I Walk the Line (soundtrack LP) is already available on a Bear Family two-fer CD. Reader's Digest will be reissuing One Piece At a Time & A Thing Called Love in a boxed set soon. No word on The Junkie & The Juicehead Minus Me, though.

Good call. I'm pretty sure Roman Gods was issued on CD in Germany, but it's been OOP for a long time.

There is a Raven label comp coming soon, The Fleshtones: The I.R.S. Years, but I'd love to see the full albums reissued.

:righton:, to which I'd add their EP Dancing Under Streetlights, plus a few more things:

Marscape - Jack Lancaster & Robin Lumley (all I have is a not very good needle drop)
Billy Cobham's Glass Menagerie - Observations & (other stuff on Elektra Musician has showed up, but not this as far as I can tell)
Larry Coryell/Steve Khan - Two for the Road
Martha and the Muffins - Trance and Dance
David van Tieghem - These Things Happen

and of course Time Fades Away
