RARE Sonny and Cher

Here's a 'rare' Sonny & Cher find.......they now have a son.

I'm looking for their French and Italian language singles for a radio show - PM me if you have these in your collection.

 

I have 'Innerviews', 'Sonny Side Of', 'Allman and Woman', 'Black Rose' (w/ Les Dudek),
'Stars', and a bunch of others on vinyl. My gf and I both collect S&C.

 

I have Sonny's "Inner Views" Atco 33-229 in monaural, what a hilarious hippy-dippy album! Also have Cher's "Backstage" album, Imperial LP-9373 in mono from 1968, and WLP mono copies of "3614 Jackson Highway", Atco 33-298 and "Chastity", Atco 33-302, both from 1969. I assume the latter two are just folddowns.

 

Wow, I've never even seen much less heard a mono BACKSTAGE.

I always wondered if there were any alternate takes or longer fades, or if it was just a fold-down.

 

Can't tell you, as I've never heard the stereo version of this LP.

 

I, too, have the rare MONO pressing of Backstage. The 3614 Jackson Highway WLP in mono is a dedicated mono mix....I'm not too certain about the Chastity soundtrack though.

 

Who would own the rights to the tapes, Cher or Warner Brothers? If its Warner, maybe Wounded Bird could put it out.

 

Both versions are on the Rhino Handmade CD on Innerviews.

 

Is the original version of "I Got You Babe" available in stereo, on CD?

 

The easiest to get is one of the ERIC 'Hard To Find 45s discs.Should still be in print.

Not sure who owns the masters for Cher's four mid-70s WB albums, but Wounded Bird have been contacted in the past and they respond by saying that they'd love to release them on CD, but WB/Cher just wants too much money. They said that Cher's old managers from back then would have to be paid etc....

Oh wait....I just re-read the post that you quoted. You were asking about the unreleased Sonny & Cher WB album from 1977. Have no more info about that, sorry.
