Tge above is somewhat misleading because their early period was great and then they got a little less interesting before a strong comeback in Berry’s final years.

 

very similar to my favorites -- Good Advices jousts with Flowers of Guatemala for being my fave REM song ever.

I only diverge with fellow REM fans with the ranking of New Adventures - 15 or so listens in and I still haven't connected with that album.

If it helps any, I always skip the first two songs on New Adventures (sometimes substituting Low Desert as the opening song). And I dislike Ebow The Letter!
