Did anyone attend Record Parlour's previous sales?
I'm generally wondering what type of records they were selling...
Bad Thrift store quality? Mainly 12" singles? Any gems?

I survived the Record Parlour event. Got there an hour before the store opened, line already down one block and half way down another. Took about 3 hours to get into the front door. First you had to buy $20 worth of merchandise in the main store. I made a beeline for the jazz section thinking maybe I could find some gems here. Ended up with a pressing of Charles Lloyd's Soundtrack (which I only had on CD) and Mahavishnu Orchestra Apocalypse. From there, you were taken to a courtyard to hang for another 20 minutes or so before being escorted to the warehouse for the freebies. Free tacos were on hand (chicken, pork and beef) - but I'm a vegetarian so I scored two plain but crunchy tortillas. For those over 21, there was also free - no not booze, but weed. Yes siree folks - but hey, not my thing - though a popular table for most. Then went to the line for the warehouse - that was probably another 40 minutes wait to get.

Once in, it was like 1,000 Goodwill building had dropped off their collections. I'm sure the best finds were taken by those who camped out early. By 2pm, I was able to leave with about 50 records. And since I'm ok with a little lounge and grandpa's records, I got a selection of Herp Albert, several George Wright organ LPs, Engelbert Humperdinck and Andy Williams (the last two purely nostagia - what my parent's played at parties when I was a kid). A good take of some nice classical LPs (Wanda Landowska, RCA Victor pressings, etc). Some jazz: Ahmad Jamal, Stan Kenton. On the more modern front (relatively speaking), takeaways included Hoyt Axton, Average White Band, Dan Fogelberg, Isaac Hayes, Gotrdon Lightfoot, Lone Justice, Dave Mason, Moody Blues, Carly Simon, Stephen Stills, and George Winston.

Don't know if I'll do this again, but a decent take for some free browsing. The VPI Cyclone is busy today.

Records sound about like what I would have expected. In other words, stuff they couldn't sell and that you'd find in the never changing record section of any Goodwill in the country. Provided they're in good condition, some of those records are fine listening. But no value.

I'm a bit amazed by the free weed. Is that actually legal? (Yes, I know it has been legalized for smoking, but I didn't know a commercial entity could distribute it for free...)

Congratulations - on your both haul, and surviving the event!
While cleaning your score, can you post some pictures?

Trying to add some photos from last week's free bin scour - but can't figure out how to embed photos from my computer. The icons in these posts seem to only accept photos from online URLs. Any suggestions?

Sorry, I haven't posted any pictures that I've taken, so I don't have any suggestions. Perhaps this old thread offers a workaround...

This guy was more interested in the freebees than getting his records....
