hey... i'm sorry if this has already been covered but...
i owned a record player for a little bit until it broke. ALl i remember was that the player sucked when i got it as a gift.
I am in need of a record player, but i don't know much about them.
    Can anyone recommend me one?
I do not want to spend too much money on it.
The max i am willing to pay is around 100 dollars. (its not much  )
I live in the LA area.
    thanksssss

I think Best Buy and Circuit City still carry a couple of TT's in that price range. With all do respect, don't expect a whole lot of sonics out of them. ;)

If I had only a 100 to spend on a TT. That's probably the route I'd go.

You can probably find some nice vintage TT's that were well-cared for by owners that don't know any better. eBay! :)

I'm assuming that you don't need a phono stage (you have a receiver or amp with a phono plug). If so, you can go the eBay route, and get a decent Technics for $50, but you have to work it out with the seller so that he packs it properly. And make sure that it gets insured for full value. Another route is to go with a place that fixes turntables and occasionally sells them, like the Turntable Factory, then you can be sure it will be properly packed and that you will get a turntable in full working condition. You can probably get one for $100 plus shipping.
