Yeah there is the normal classic rock tax it seems, but the labels do that throughout the year with classic rock reissues. It likes for every decade before 1980 they ad another $10 to the price.

A few people are offering McCartney's RSD cassette on ebay for nearly 100 dollars, and it's still nearly a month away from the release date. I doubt there will be such high demand for it that all 2,500 copies will be sold.

In years past there have been some Parlophone releases such as The Gods, The Idle Race, etc. usually on nice colored vinyl. Are there any on this year's list?

Was just scrolling through the list and noticed this in the blurb for the Peter Tosh Legalize It:

"Fully remastered and sounds INCREDIBLE for a colored vinyl release." [Emphasis added.]

Thought it was pretty curious to implicitly state that colored vinyl doesn't sound as good as regular old black. I know there is some debate about this, but I don't happen to agree and find it weird they would imply that in their marketing. Not very smart if you ask me.

I saw that it's going to have a 5000 piece print run for RSD, there's always an exception to the rule but when there's that many copies it's usually pretty easy to find.

There are conflicting numbers on the Bowie stuff. 5000 is probably just the North American number with 10,000 more scattered around the globe.

^ So Bambu is in the same running order as it was on the 3 lp Pacific Ocean Blue by Sundazed.

  15. It appears so. Pretty disappointing. Looks like I won't be adding this to my collection since it's nothing 'new to me'... :sigh:

The only must haves for me this year are the Jason Isbell and the Dave & Phil Alvin.

Who do I talk to about getting them to press Fleetwood Mac's EP for RSD?

Yes GMcGill, is that link of RSD 2017 same as the UK list? I'm down here in Texas, I noticed The Byrds 7" and Animals, The – Five Animals Don’t Stop No Show [LP] (limitedis on your list but not the US list.

Hmmm not sure - here - had time to find the link now :) I'm new to RSD so I just assume this link is to the US site?

    RECORD STORE DAY - SpecialRelease

Of interest (to me)...Record Store Day was conceived and co-founded by an employee of a small local record store here in Brunswick, Maine: Bull Moose Music...the store is a small independent that was the small business brainchild of a couple Bowdoin College kids (local kinda-Ivy League college here that boasts Longfellow having taught here). Bull Moose has expanded to maybe a dozen stores in Maine and New Hampshire.

Chris Brown from Maine-based Bull Moose music hatched the idea of Record Store Day while sitting at his desk in 2007; he gathered support and the first event launched a year later with 600 participating stores.

Loads of new and used DVDs, Blu-rays, books etc. Excellent customer service and reward points too. My only gripe is no used records. (At least not in the 5 or 6 locations I have been to)

We have a small section of used vinyl - just got David Blue's "Stories" -- it is a prefect NM platter, for $5.
