It was when I “backordered” but the release date was only yesterday so they could be waiting to see what further stock is available ... it also looks like Juno are expecting stock Gene CLARK Back Street Mirror vinyl at Juno Records. but their release date is 27th August.

Any word on when this will be made available digitally or should I just go ahead and make a needle drop of my RSD EP?

I ordered the RSD 2017 Sierra ‘Early L.A’ from WowHD at £10.43 (P&P) and it arrived today ... a fine reissue and they still have it in stock if anyone needs a copy: Various Artists Early L.a. / Various on WOW HD (also available from All Your Music via Amazon for a pound or so more). Today’s post also brought a copy of The Dillard’s ‘Wheatstraw Suite’ (Exhibit Records, Hoffman-Gray), so that’s my evening’s themed listening sorted ...

After having ordered it months ago from 3 different sellers who didn't deliver (one of them only offering a refund, both others saying "it's on back order"), I finally received Back Street Mirror today from Sierra's John Delgatto, a short time only after having ordered it from him. Thanks John.

Did you tried JPC? I’m waiting for delivery more than a month and they originally promised it within a week!

Forum MVP & dear friend @Chris M surprised me yesterday by liking a post of mine from a now-closed thread he started in 2009 (!!!), related to unreleased songs.
In it, I listed off a bunch of then-unknown Gene Clark songs. It is by no means a complete list, just a sampling of titles that grabbed my interest back then. I thought it would give us some perspective to see that same woefully incomplete list today (reprinted below), if only to show how far we’ve come in less than a decade.
For ease of reference I’ve bolded the songs that are now available.

All for Him (Lost Studio Sessions)
    Along the Way
    Bakersfield Train
Big City Girl (Gene Clark Sings For You)
    Chicken Bones
    Doctor Doctor (GCSFY)
Don't Let it Fall Through (LSS & Back Street Mirror E.P.)

The Emptiness (presumably a demo exists for this, later renamed 'The Day Walk')
I'll Miss You For a While
    I Was Alone
    If There's No Love (LSS)
    It's Easy Now
    Jimmy Christ (White Light Demos)
Just One More Kiss and Then Go
Maybe You Think* (Possibly 'Past Tense' from the Sings for You)
    No Wonder
    On Tenth Street (GCSFY)
    On the Bright Side
    Please Mr. Freud (WLD)
Seventh Avenue Train# (Live version released on 3 Byrds Land in London, but demo remains unreleased)
    She's Made up Her Mind
    She Told Me (BSM E.P.)
    So Much More
    Sometime and Again
    That Girl (LSS)
    That's What I Want [sic]
(I probably meant to type 'That’s What You Want,' which was released on the Back Street Mirror EP)
    That's Why
    The Way I Am (LSS)
    The Way That I Feel
    Too Many Days
    Translations
    Understand Me Too (GCSFY)
    While You're Here
    Worried Heart (LSS)

Stunning. Beyond my wildest imagination really. Let's hope it continues! A comprehensive Dillard & Clark release (sessions + live material) would be nice.

Just visited Monorail in Glasgow and they had at least three newly arrived copies of Back Street Mirror in at £17.99 and Lost Studio Sessions on vinyl for £39.99 (I think) ... Monorail

Peter Oliva (bass guitar) told me that Gene had said "Hula Bula Man" was in homage to the members of his KC Southern band.

Got it. This LP is a pain in the ass to put on the spindle, first time ever i came across this! It's especially difficult to get record out of player between sides. Thankfully no skips..

Pisses me off that this thread has devolved into nothing but a dump zone for people to talk about problems — issues with availability, shipping screwups, list prices, defective copies. Not one blessed word about the, you know, music. Screw this BS.
