Guys, I do play my records and though I haven’t got any coloured vinyl, it doesn’t mean I’m opposed to it from a potential audiophile perspective. And I haven’t got a Spin Clean; it would be nice but most of my vintage stuff plays cleanly enough that I can get away with occasionally taking the cruddiest ones to my local to clean for a nominal fee.

Realize please that my comments did not generally pertain to Steve Hoffman forumites!

Dio's Sacred Heart on 2 LPs sounds interesting. The fact its on Back To Black means I wont be spending any money on that crap label.

Guess I liked it, as heard some similarities in style to early Pink Floyd Space-Rock(Set the Controls, A Saucerful of Secrets, etc.). Although, maybe Vinyl is not the best option for 'Electronic Meditation', as would rather not need to be interrupted to change sides and just would rather listen to it as one complete album without interruption on CD or Streaming(like 'The Endless River'-Pink Floyd or Ennio Morricone Film Soundtracks).

  9. I'd much prefer no RSD release. I don't like the risk of the limited editions not making it to where I live. I totally missed out on MSG/NYE box set.
I imagine Billy Breathes will be white or black & white in accordance with the cover art, don't you reckon?

Did the MSG/NYE set get a regular release? I see it Amazon right now. Except for TWO SOUNDCHECKS, it looks like everything is released to the general public eventually. It's funny, even though the cover is almost all b/w, I picture it more red because of the color of the font. Either way, I want it. I'm not a completest, but I want that and SOTG and then I'm good. I skipped HOIST and sold my RSD LAWN BOY.

The NYE release on amazon is listed at double what it cost new. However, I remember stressing myself out over getting it on RSD that year only to see it in a local store weeks later, still at the regular price. And I think I’ve seen it elsewhere since.

  17. My guess is the Culture Factory will be from a digital source perhaps the same one they use for their over compressed CDs.

Well, it’s apparently out, but not released to the public. Was in my local today and overheard the manager and a record rep discussing RSD among other things. I heard the manager say that there’s a lot of “good” stuff on there but the list can’t be released yet. They didn’t mention titles so I have no idea what is on the list or even if it’s “good”. We will know soon enough.
