recording session(s) for "Mr. Soul", Buffalo Springfield?

I know there have been past threads concerning the different versions of "Mr. Soul", but, I still don't know which recording/overdub session(s) were used for the 45 single version AND the "Buffalo Springfield Again" album version. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks.

 

Sure, the basic track was recorded at Atlantic Studios in NYC on January 9, 1967, with overdubs added on April 8 of that year, likely at Sunset Sound in Hollywood.

 

Great. Thanks. So, what about that supposedly great, raw-sounding version that is referred to as the missing "acetate" version? Was that also recorded at Atlantic, NY on the same day? Or is that just the basic track, without the overdubs?. Or is that from an entirely different session altogether?
