records stores in vancouver...I looking for vinyl :)

I will be there for 3 days but I'll only have one day to spend in the stores
If someone can guide me in the better stores I will be more than happy
I looking for vinyl, 60/70 stuff, rock/psychedelic/soul/garage.....
I would like to go to the non-over-price stores

Im heading over there myself. Anyone have suggestions? Was looking at going to Apollo Music.

 

Apollo Music is great....but it's in a suburb ...Port Coquitlam,,,and in a warehouse district..make sure you get google maps to get there. Also Red Cat on Main St and Neptune also on Main.

 

Cool. Im staying in Langley for work but i do have a car to get around.

 

I would agree that Apollo is worth visiting despite it being out of the way.

But if you're staying in Langley you should definitely go to Krazy Bob's on Fraser Highway in the old part of downtown Langley.

If either of you are coming into Vancouver it's worth checking out either Neptoon Records or Zulu Records

 

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. In the few days I have been here and I have spent a lot of money. I have found some great stuff.

 

Which stores did you check out?

 

Apollo, Krazy Bob, Red Cat and Neptune. My wallet is much lighter but my suit case got much heavier.

I find Apollo a bit overwhelming, just too much stuff to absorb

 

Actually i didnt think Apollow was overwhelming at all. What was overwhelming was Krazy Bob. That place is insane. There is no way you can cover it in one day there is just sooo much stuff there and the guys that work there are crazy but are fun and harmless.

 

It's been awhile since I've been to Apollo.
The last time the $1 records were all over the place and not in any kind or order.
I've heard things are better organized now

 

Yes Apollo is quite organized on the main floor. I never went upstairs as i was told it is a lot of scratched up records of stuff so i didnt bother going up there.
