Records that are speeded up or slower - off pitch - is there a list?

Quite a number of records were either speeded up - intentionally or unintentionally. Or run too slow.
    Making them off pitch.
The speeding up was pretty common apparently, a lot of people were at it, noticeably Bob Dylan for "Blood on the Tracks", Simon & Garfunkel did I believe on a couple of albums. The Rolling Stones I think on "Fingerprint File" off It's only Rock and Roll.
    Is there a list anywhere?
The ones I know of, off the top of my head are:
Bob Dylan, Blood on the tracks, 2% fast, whole album
Miles Davis, Kind of Blue, side 2, ca. 2% fast.
Rolling Stones, Beggars Banquet, 2% slow. whole album
Rolling Stones, IORR, Fingerprint file - one track, ca. 3 - 4% fast.

A couple speeded up considerably perhaps double-

We're Not Supposed To - Supergrass
Phenomenal Cat - The Kinks (Parts of the vocal anyway)

    And one slowed down massively-

Move Closer (cover of the Phyllis Nelson song) - The Bluetones

Billy Joel's first album was erroneously mastered at a higher speed than recorded. Reportedly he hated it.

At least a side or two of Zappa's Shut Up 'N Play Yer Guitar was mastered slightly faster that it was supposed to be. This has been corrected on subsequent CD releases. You Are What You Is also has a few songs that are sped up, but I'm not sure if it was intentional or not since the CD versions have kept them that way.

An example where the speed deviation was intentional: when recording their second album, the band Neu! ran out of money with only a side's worth of material completed. For Side 2 of the album, the band took their single "Neuschnee/Super" and variously sped it up, slowed it down, and ran it through a cassette recorder to eat the tape; essentially, they released a side of "remixes" of the song.

I know the story/rumor of Robert Johnson's records being a sped up has been talked about for years -- but I recently slowed everything down a step (for example from B-flat to A) and it sounds SO MUCH BETTER to me.

Playing in A seems more reasonable to me. But most importantly, it sounds more natural. His voice/vibrato sounds more real and the guitar sounds more natural.

Caroline, No from the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds, was sped up to make Brian sound younger. The original speed sounds so much better.

I asked a friend of mine.
His comment was that the band laid down most of Highway to Hell while doing pub gigs. They would come in on fire and play too fast. So Mutt Lange slowed down the track. Then Bon would dub his vocals on top. This would mean that the instruments are slowed down, but the vocals - such as they are - are on pitch. Though with Bon I'm not sure this matters that much.
But it's an interesting point; records with off-pitch instruments and on-pitch vocals?

Chic - "risque" the original vinyl album's speed is all over the place
Sister Sledge - "We Are Family" The original vinyl LP is mastered too fast.

I always suspected the intstruments in Every Breath You Take are slowed down. Being in Ab is the first clue.
Anyone know anything to coroborate this?

It sounds like everybody was at it.
How do you cope? Adjust turntable speed with every track? At least with a Technics you can fiddle with the pitch control.

Gerry Rafferty's City to City was speeded up because of its length (51+ minutes). Subsequent CD issues were at the right speed.

Elvis Presley's Girl Happy was speeded up because of incompetence at the mastering stage.

Meat Puppets II, bad tapes, but it sounds so great.

  24. The 12" remix of Bryan Adams' debut single "Let Me Take You Dancing" was sped up, making the young Mr Adams sound like a girl in the process. Much to his chagrin.

Early Bee Gees albums - mono mixes slightly sped-up, stereo mixes slightly sped-down.
