    Am I missing something here? Why is The Nightfly included as a withdrawn LP?

    Actually i have the US 12 inch of this, but there should be plenty of UK copies out there.

    OMD - Forever live and Die (John Tokes Potoker mix)

    [IMG]

    This is the first U.K. 12″ pressing for the Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (OMD) single “(Forever) Live and Die”. Remixed by American remixer John “Tokes” Potoker. The story behind this remix is that the band was not happy with it so it was withdrawn. Virgin Records had already printed about 5,000 copies crediting John “Tokes” Potoker as the remixer. Some of these copies did make it into record shops.

    I'm sorry and didn't know that Gregg was not pleased with this. But I sure
    am glad acquired it (by the skin of my teeth). It is one of my most valued of 2-disc anthologies, a brilliant package.

    I have a promo cassette of James McMurtry's Candyland. Columbus Day & Silent Alarm were on it & removed for two other songs by time it was officially released several months later.

    well, it wasn't immediately withdrawn, but

    talk talk - history revisited:
    ========================
    Talk Talk - History Revisited - The Remixes

    [IMG]

    This is a remix collection released by EMI without the consent of the group. Talk Talk sued the record label for falsely attributing the material to them (and for unpaid royalties) and won the court case in 1992. Subsequently, the release was deleted and has never been reissued
