Return it to the seller! Buy one from a dealer where you can have them resolve issues, if any.

Call a Rega dealer first and see what they say or ask Bill @ KT88 on this Forum, as a US Rega dealer. Be prepared to return to seller but you may end up paying any postage charges (depending on your deal). Warranty ?

I would return it to the seller it shouldn't be making a rumbling sound at all. KT88 I'm sure would tell you the same thing.

I bought my P3 from an Ebay seller and there is no motor noise. Return yours and request your money back. Sounds as though he is trying to fob you off.

Out of interest, was it a business or private seller ? Was the t/t brand new, second-hand or refurbished ?

Best of Luck and keep us updated.

(P.S. I bought my Suzuki from an Ebay seller and there is hell of a lot of motor noise.........)

I would make the claim with eBay. I have 2 Regas. Neither of the Rega's have made a noise. Sounds like he's trying to bamboozle you. Is it suddenly just supposed to stop rumbling? I'm guessing he knows about it, there he's giving you a break-in duration. The only fix I can think of to fix this problem is the getting motor upgrade and that's $250.

You have 3 business days to get this resolved.

Sorry, I "liked" the post where the fellow suggested just returning it and find another. They shouldn't make noise.

Hate to muddy the waters, but for not that much more the Planar 2 is a better option.

...a P3 is indeed THAT much more.... Where as the p1 and P2 are so close in price I don't know why the P1 even is in the line...

Its kind of inbetween the p1 and 3 here in Sweden. But a Nagaoka MP-110 is also like 200$ here so yeah.

Unacceptable. I recommend that you return it immediately.
