Interesting proposition from a fan standpoint. Get enough people to fund raise from the internet to remake The Last Jedi.

    Remake The Last Jedi

The campaign has a almost $99.5 million raised (as of this post) with an unnamed producer(s) that claims will cover the budget of making this remake.

There's a host of legal clearances this remake would have to hurdle - I can't see how it's possible in reality but still a worthwhile endeavor to travel and let Disney/Lucasfilm know just how terrible The Last Jedi was and that fans were not happy with it and are willing to do something about it.

If I'm not happy with a movie, I... just find other movies to watch.

It's a shame we can't raise that kind of money to find a cure for cancer, HIV, AIDS, or some other worthy cause. No, a mediocre glorified B movie is worth getting upset about, not people dying.

We've raised much more than that to find cures for those things... What are you talking about?

The film was unbearable to me, but to remake it? Nah.

TLJ doesn't need to be remade.

    It needs to be buried!

The level of hatred for "TLJ" among some boggles my little mind...

I just tell those people "Hey, at least it's not one of the prequels".

Seriously. I'd happily concede that the Canto Bight sequence wouldn't be missed (aside from some character development) and that the lightspeed chase for 45 minutes is a little silly, if it'd get people to stop talking about this movie like it murdered their whole family and kicked their dog too.

I take it you haven't seen how many people with a hate-on for Last Jedi have decided that they liked a lot of the Prequels.

Really?! TLJ needs to be remade but the first three abominations can live on forever? Talk about miss placed priorities! I didn't even like TLJ all that much. :)

As it happens, "TLJ" did murder my whole family, but it didn't kick my dog, so I'm okay with it!

I never hated the prequels - I enjoy parts of them - but the notion that "TLJ" is inferior to those films is crazy talk.

Is "TLJ" the best "SW" movie? No, but it's far from the worst.

I admit I wasn't happy with it at first, but additional screenings have made me appreciate it much more...

    lol the other first three!

I tell you, being a kid and seeing Empire in the theatre, what a treat. Ah well. I'm still on board with the new version of the franchise. I'm just expecting less.
