Remember Those Living Room Consoles?

You post made me think ................ how sad. There was a time when only those who lived in small apartments with complaining neighbors and "loners" used earphones. Now it is the way. Music, as we saw it, was meant to be shared with a group, discussed real time, not text-ed about. A lot of these console sets had TV's, they were the original home entertainment systems. While I never owned one, my grandparents did, I spent many an hour playing my aunt's LP's on that ol' tube console. They will blow your I Pod away in every respect, well, except for convenience, and the "loner" moniker.
