Removing surface noise from used records

    - Here's a guy I found who has some low cost and seeminlg very effective methods . . .
    I just sent for the label protector and will be giving this a try as soon as it comes in!

    Rachel, I have to ask, what's the point of buying these old records that need so much work to be playable if they ever even become playable? There are other ways to get music from back then. This is why I rarely buy records anymore unless I can physically inspect them first. For me, life is too short for the drama of used vinyl (most vinyl, actually).

    I think a Spin Clean is a $50-80 well spent. I still have mine, though it is now used only for the dirtiest records bought. I believe that record cleaning is the single biggest upgrade I did in my analog playback.
