Today I received Beau Brummels, The Young Rascals, and Peter, Paul & Mary.

As others have noted the jackets on EU versions are not sturdy, tip-on type. Indeed I was surprised at how thin [flimsy even] they are on TYR & BB LPs.

The gate-fold PP&M is much better and is reassuringly stiff. It also comes with a nice booklet.

I must say I am slightly surprised and disappointed with the sleeves as Rhino usually do much better.

If you can - I would go for the US versions.

I'll go for Love in mono since I never got an original mono.

Is the Triangle LP cut fast? Sounded a bit sped up to me but it's been since I heard the original.

    And yet...

This superior mono mix still has never been reissued...

At this juncture, unless it's part of a bigger Buffalo set, I'll stick with my needle drop

I bought my copy from this forum's classifieds! It's a little crunchy, so I wouldn't mind seeing a quality reissue.

BTW, the mono 45 of "Everydays"/"Expecting to Fly" sounds especially nice, very fulsome.

Have you heard the mono 45 of Mr. Soul? It's different than the mono LP mix :)

Yup, got that one too! And "Bluebird" on the A-side is an edited version.

I like the stereo mix OK, but the mono has some neat things going on too.

How's the mono mix on the "Groovin'" album? Worth getting or not a very significant listening experience? I already have a minty stereo pressing.

Nothing majorly different, but better enough to warrant a purchase. I wouldn't say the original is rare, but obviously not as common as the stereo. Mono Rascals are usually the way to go most of the time.

Has anyone picked up Alice's Restaurant? I'm curious if it's a fold down of the stereo and how it sounds comparatively.

The original mono press, at least the title track anyway, is a fold as judged by the fake audience efx coming in at the exact same spots.

I have an original mono pressing and it doesn't sound awesome.

I'm really excited about Tim Buckley's Goodbye and Hello mono reissue. One of my favourite records of all time.

I've never listened to the mono version though. How is it compared to the stereo?
