Hello Ringo fans. Busy with acting roles, guesting on Harrison & Lennon albums. Guesting on various lps by Apple artists & others. Not to mention drinking like Keith Moon. Our dear Ringo didn't release a rock/pop album until the brilliant "RINGO" in 1973.
Depriving us Ringo-Beatles fans, for almost 4 years.

However, Ringo did manage several classic singles & B sides, as well as 2 1970 boutique albums. An album of old 20s-30's standards for his mum called Sentimental Journey. Later that same year Ringo released Beacoups of Blues, a pure Nashville Country album.

Meanwhile on the Rock front, Mr Starkey managed a few rock tracks prior to the release of RINGO in 1973.

    1. It Don't Come Easy
    2. Early 1970
    3. Coochy Coochy
    4. Back Off Boogalo
    5. Blindman
    6. Down & Out
    7. Fiddle About
    8. Tommy's Holiday Camp

Far as I know, those 8 tracks are the only Ringo rock tracks prior to 1973's RINGO..

So please you're 10-12 song tracklist for a fan made album Including most of the rock tracks & a few more from Beacoups of Blues & or Sentimental Journey to flesh it out . Can you do it !!!!

    My version Ringo Solo

    1. It Don't Come Easy
    2. Blindman
    3. Sentimental Journey
    4. Early 1970
    5. Coochy Coochy
    6. Back Off Boogaloo
    7. $15 Draw
    8. Dream
    9. Uncle Ernie
    10 Down & Out
    11 Beacoups of Blues

  2. Open and/or close with your one/two favorite songs from "Sentimental Journey"... (I'd probably just close with one...)

... then mix in the main 6 ("It Don't Come Easy", "Back Off Boogaloo", "Down & Out", "Early 1970", "Coochy Coochy" & "Blindman") with anywhere from 4-6 of your fave tracks off of "Beaucoups Of Blues" (I'd probably go with 4)... there's a 11-14 track CD & it's very good!!

"Down & Out" was recorded during the Ringo sessions, and appeared as the non-LP B-side of "Photograph" in 1973. So you can't really consider that as a "pre-1973" track.

Nice call on $15 Draw; one of my favorites on Beaucoups of Blues.

Mine includes everything from "RINGO" already written or at least begun by 1971:

Ringo Starr - It Don't Come Easy (1971)
    Side One:
01 I'm the Greatest - first demoed in early 1971
02 Have You Seen My Baby - cover, already written by 1971
03 Photograph - begun during 1971 by George
04 Sunshine Life for Me - begun in early 1971 by George
    05 You're Sixteen - cover, already written by 1971
    Side Two:
    06 It Don't Come Easy - recorded in 1970
    07 Blindman - recorded in 1971
    08 Early 1970 - recorded in 1970
    09 Coochy Coochy - recorded in 1970
10 Back off Boogaloo - recorded in 1971

Pretty decent, if you ask me.

how could you not include Loser's Lounge
I would take out Down & Out and replace it with Modulating Maurice, an instrumental song Ringo and Maurice Gibb did
and probably add Bye Bye Blackbird

Sigh... The track widely bootlegged as "Modulating Maurice" has nothing to do with Ringo at all. It is just an instrumental piece the Bee Gees recorded in 1970 around the time of the 2 Years On sessions called "To Dance Again" which was done for a TV version of The Three Musketeers. The actual "Modulating Maurice" has n-e-v-e-r been leaked.
