Any updates on this? Ringo's shown a real fondness for releasing his new albums early in the year. Liverpool 8, Y Not & Ringo 2012 all came in January, and Postcards came in March. Seems like we ought to be hearing something on this...

I read somewhere last year that Ringo was talking about a March 2017 release for his new album. I didn't take this as a firm date but some time this Spring seems likely.

Paul could help Ringo record his own Fireman album! :D

I'm honestly extremely excited for this upcoming album. Postcards From Paradise was fabulous and his best album in ages imo, with a strong batch of songs. Looking forward!

"Postcards..." was IMHO one of the worst albums in the history of music let alone in Ringo's discography. Unless Paul writes all the songs and produces this next Ringo album I fear things will not get any better. Bring back Mark Hudson...please!

Ringo sounds auto tuned to me. Hope his new album isn't like this.

Ringo seems to be finishing recording his new album!

The latest to be added to the project is Sheila E., a three-time All Starr Band member who also worked with Prince and as a solo act. Starr posted a photo of himself and E. in the studio on his Facebook page, each flashing a peace sign.

Is it me or did Ringo just stop aging around 1982.? The dude looks great for his age.

Yesterday, Richard Marx tweeted this photo of Ringo Starr holding what seems to be his upcoming new studio album. It appears to bear the title "Ringo 2017". Looks like Ringo's new CD is finished. No release date announced as of yet.

So, when should we expect this new album? All-Starr Band tour starts in October. If the announcement will be published in the coming days, I guess the album will be released in August.

Please don't let that be the final cover, with Ringo giving that clichéd V sign yet again.....

Potential guests on the album based on Ringo's tweets:

    Richard Marx (February 10, 2016)
Van Dyke Parks (May 12, 2016)
    Jim Cox (July 29, 2016)
    Peter Frampton (January 30, 2017)
    Benmont Tench (February 14, 2017)
Amy Keys, Richard Page, and Timothy B. Schmit (February 15, 2017)
    Nathan East (February 16, 2017)
Paul McCartney and Joe Walsh (February 19, 2017)
    Steve Lukather (February 22, 2017)
Richard Marx again (February 24, 2017)
    Dave Stewart (February 25, 2017)
    Don Was (March 1, 2017)
Georgia Middleman and Gary Burr (March 8, 2017)
Matt and Gregg Bissonette (March 28, 2017)
Nathan East again (May 8, 2017)
Joe Walsh again (May 18, 2017)

Also Sheila E. (May 5, 2017), but that was for her album, assuming they recorded only one song. And it's possible some of the above were visiting rather than recording.
