I figured I'd start a Ringo solo thread since the other 3 have had their fair share. I'm curious what the reaction was when Ringo's first 2 Rock N' Roll singles were such big hits. I was in diapers at the time, but I think "It Don't Come Easy" & "Back Off Boogaloo" are two of the best solo Beatle singles. It's even more impressive that Ringo wrote them...although I'm sure George Harrison's production & playing (and perhaps uncredited co-writing) had a major role in making them great records. I also think they contain some of the best drumming in his solo career. So were people blown away at the time? And for others like me and younger, how do you feel about these songs?
