    The Honolulu-born star of film, stage & television passed away in his sleep today...credits include "Flower Drum Song"(1961), "Midway"(1976), "Die Hard"(1988), "Mulan"(1998)and "The People I've Slept With"(2009)...in 1960, Mr. Shigeta won the Golden Globe for the most promising newcomer of the year with George Hamilton, Troy Donahue & Barry Coe...RIP...:cry:

    He did have a great voice, and one of the most memorable death scenes ever in Die Hard:



    I was almost beside myself when I first saw that in the theater, because I had said for about 20 years, "jeez, in real life the villains would just shoot the guy through the head." Great bit.
