    RIP Kip Adotta!

Heard him way back in early 80's on Dr. Demento's late night radio program, and reading that article - says he did appear on Tonight Show a few times too!

    I remember him...
Though I vaguely remember his comedy, his song "Wet Dream" is on the Dr. Demento comp. I own.:

    Awww.... :(
I always liked Kip, reminds me of 1978-79 when I'd frequently see him on Carson and on Bobby Van's version of "Make Me Laugh". He was a funny guy.
    RIP Kip.

People who go through life funny, deserve a nice niche in the afterlife; they spend their lives trying to get people to laugh, and so many fail to make it. Yet those funny things they're willing to throw out there, at the risk of somebody with no mood for whimsy disrespecting them, can ruin their hopes and aspirations. Yeah, so many comedians would love to come home to Jay Leno's garage (you have no idea how many miles comedians put in), but more often than not end up going for something to dull the personal pain instead.

Somewhere out in the darkness, a line hits home, and somebody who really needs a laugh today, gets it because somebody risked making that punchline sing. Somewhere else, somebody will hear that line, try it out for themselves, and maybe make somebody else's day. Others will hear it, and groan, or just not laugh (even if it finally hits them in retrospect), and we should all remember...none of these people are failures - not even the "bad" ones. These people are saints.

A saint, a philosopher and a psychologist, walk into a bar...
