    Steve,

I just got this disc today and listened to it all the way through. Great stuff! It still amazes me music recorded well over four decades ago can sound this good. "La Bamba" may be his most well-known song, but "Come On Let's Go" is my favorite.

    Glad you are enjoying it.

Led Zep fans like "Ooh My Head"! Sound familiar?

Dumb question - is this a dual layer hybrid disc for those of us who are still SACD-player-less?

...and while we're at it, can anyone name the movie that the song appeared in (without looking it up in the IMDB)?

I'm talking about the Ritchie Valens song as opposed to the Led Zep stew. ;)

Ed Bishop Incredibly, I'm still here

I would guess GO, JOHNNY, GO! but only because I remember Berry and Valens in it.

@Steve Hoffman - can you speak to the mastering differences on the CD and SACD layers on this release? Is the sound of one layer more representative of the sound you prefer? Someone pointed this difference out to me recently and today I compared it for the first time. The SACD layer sounds clearer, more forward sounding than the mastering on the CD layer.

I mastered it once, split feed. Should be close but I never compared the two..

Wow, this is the biggest difference I have heard between two layers of a Hybrid SACD before. Ok, thanks!
