    Great actor.
His late mature films were excellent.

    He left quite a resume.
But ..he could be tempted it seems " never say never " guess if the right role comes along(which is tricky when your 80+).

Very much looking forward to "The Old Man and the Gun" next month, which looks top-notch as well.

ALL IS LOST is an amazing, almost wordless action film. HIghly recommended "sleeper."

He'd be a legend based on his own work alone, but it can also be argued he has done as much for film itself as anyone.
Havent really kept up with his later work, the upcoming one looks fun. 3 Days of the condor is my favourite, that was in the midst of a pretty stellar run of movies.
I havent seen Brubaker since I was a kidf and pay-tv was just starting and it was on all the time. I dont remember it very well, but I remember liking it as a kid. Im going to revisit that one of these days.

Amazing career, what's left to prove!

He was wrapping up filming in 80's directing Ordinary People and stopped into local breakfast joint for a bite, down to earth and nice tipper!

I would argue that All Is Lost is his best film, and he’s had a lot of great films.

    Sad to hear he’s retiring.

I met him once in Fort Bridger,
Wyoming not long after Jeremiah Johnson filmed. I just said hi and shook his hand and he was very kind and gracious. Three Days Of The Condor is an all time favorite.

Best wishes on his retirement: All Is Lost, Three Days of the Condor, The Natural, Out Of Africa; I like all of these, but they don't quite reach the heights of Jeremiah Johnson for me

    Is they're a 4K UHD version yet?

Utah national park sure looks purty.
