  1. Yeah. He quit the trail half way through and got a ride home.

Has anyone else seen The Old Man and The Gun?

I saw it yesterday and thought it was half of a very good movie. I loved every minute that Robert Redford and Sissy Spacek were on screen together. They literally lit up the screen when they were together. I also really enjoyed the Over the Hill Gang of Redford, Waits, and Glover. But I found every scene with Casey Affleck and his family to be mindnumbingly boring. Redford has charisma on screen, Casey Affleck does not. I found myself checking my watch every time the story switched to Casey.

I tend to agree with you. I saw Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 90%. While it was good, it wasn't that good. And Casey sort of mailed in his part. It was a fairly short movie, and I was left wondering "is that it?"

Saw The Old Man and The Gun yesterday, and quite enjoyed it. My favorite part was how they used photos and clips from Redford's amazing career.

Clint Eastwood's still acting and he's 88, new film The Mule out soon. Trailer looks not bad.

These are the RR films I grew up on. I remember Pop dropping me off at the Twin Cinema telling him I was going to see the other film, but went to see Jeremiah Johnson for a 2nd & then again for a 3rd time. shhhh..... :shh:

Jeremiah Johnson needs a proper restoration and a new release. The old blu-ray is quite alright but this beautiful shot film deserves a big upgrade.

I give him credit for always doing his best. Never saw him phone in a performance.

Condor is my fave as well. But I like him in films rarely mentioned - his Twilight Zone turn, "the kid/rat" in The Iceman Cometh (with Jason Robards) and Downhill Racer.
