    And of all those, Rick/Ricky Nelson is the most important to get in at this point: he's waited far too many years, his early years with James Burton was a major influence on John Fogerty, and his country rock years as Rick Nelson were pioneering of that genre. And he hired Randy Meisner before he was an Eagle.

    Those that think this list is "slim pickings" should do a little research - there are some great pioneering acts on that list that are not getting the votes they deserve. It's not hard work; it's listening to great music!
